The Vision of the Barbershop Harmony Society is "to be an ever-growing fraternity of barbershop style singers, leading the cause of encouraging vocal music in our schools and communities." In fulfilling that Vision, the Society, its districts, chapters, and individual members sponsor annual Harmony Explosion Camps where high school age boys and their music educators can gain expertise and guidance in a wide range of activities including vocal development, rehearsal tools and barbershop performance techniques. The Heart Of Texas Chorus and its individual members are very active in this program and support the students with financial assistance. Additionally, the Heart Of Texas Chorus, which is blessed with tremendous musical talent, has provided instructors to share their expertise as faculty members during this four day educational opportunity The Southwestern District Harmony Explosion Camp is held in Denton, Texas on the campus of Texas Women's University with as many as 150 high school boys and music educators in attendance.
